who is awgee?
about me
hi, i'm audrey 👋 i’m a self-taught artist and sewist who loves making pretty things! i describe my style as dreamy bohemian with a hint of farm girl. my work often reflects that effortless, soft, feminine feeling i love. i play with lots of muted earthy tones, pops of lace, ruffle trims, and romantic florals. i love grounding that softness with hints of gold, bold denims, and little utilitarian details.

growing up, i was lucky enough to have the freedom and ability to explore my own creativity. art quickly became my favorite subject in elementary school, and i soon learned to love choosing my outfits each day and finding my own style.
when it came to birthdays and holidays, planning a homemade card and gift was the highlight of my week because it meant i got to make something new, and hopefully make someone feel very special, too!
over time, i eventually fell in love with making things... any and everything... and over the years i’ve explored so many different hobbies - photography, baking, crochet, and more - and learned so much from each one... but my favorite thing to do is sewing & designing.
to me, there’s something so thrilling about the concept of creating something out of "nothing." like turning simple, flat pieces of fabric into a cute new purse, or transforming an almost-forgotten, one-of-a-kind quilt from the thrift store into a jacket that gets to live a whole new life... being able to dream up a concept and then hold it in my hands never stops feeling special.
my personal mantra is to “do it all with love.” i believe love is at the root of everything- from the way the earth was made, to each and every one of us. that intention is behind every stitch, every fabric choice, and every piece i create.
why does your logo say "love, awgee"?
awgee is actually my childhood nickname - not only is it an ode to my beginning, "love, awgee” is also inspired by the way i sign a handwritten letter. i've always loved making gifts for the people around me - friends, family, teachers, strangers. so much thought, intention, and detail go into every piece of clothing and artwork i make, just like as if i were writing a birthday card or letter to a dear friend. “love, awgee” is my way of signing off on something i've spent so much time with.
so when you see it on your new piece, think of it as a little love letter from me to you! 💌
